A major report emerged regarding top star L
The Kyeonggi Shinmun exclusively reported on Oct 19th that top star L is currently under internal investigation for drug-related allegations.
According to The Kyeonggi Shinmun, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency recently obtained information regarding top star L’s drug-related allegations while investigating an entertainment establishment in Gangnam, Seoul.
An Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency official told The Kyeonggi Shinmun, “While investigating an entertainment establishment in Gangnam, we obtained information about a celebrity of the level of Yoo Ah-in.“
The official added, “We are conducting an internal investigation based on information regarding actor L’s drug-related allegations. However, it has not been confirmed whether L is guilty of drug-related crimes.”
Regarding top star L, The Kyeonggi Shinmun explained, “L, who is currently under internal investigation for drug-related allegations, debuted in 2001 through an MBC sitcom and has since gained high popularity, playing leading roles in numerous dramas and films.”
Earlier on Aug 14th, the Police Agency reported that during their drug crackdown from March to July, they apprehended 10,316 individuals. This was a 63.7% increase compared to the same period last year when 6,301 individuals were apprehended. Out of these, 1,543 were brought into custody. The number of arrested suspects increased by nearly double compared to the same period last year when 801 people were arrested.
By type of crime, they caught 3,065 suppliers involved in manufacturing, smuggling and selling drugs, an 87.2% increase from the same period last year.
The police plan to continue their intensified crackdown on drug-related crimes in the second half of the year, running until next month.
