Top Korean YouTuber Passed Away Amid Cancer Battle

Unfortunate news has surfaced that a famous Korean YouTuber has passed away suddenly

On November 24, a video titled “Sister Coco, We’ll Always Remember You” was uploaded to the official YouTube channel “Cocochoi”.

The video contains a tribute post for Cocochoi, which reads, “Our lovely sister Coco left for heaven on November 18, 2023, at 2:26 PM. With a heavy heart, I share this sad news with the subscribers whom sister Coco loves”.

According to the video, YouTuber Coco Choi was diagnosed with cancer in the spring of 2023 and was recovering after her final treatment in November. One day, before a planned YouTube filming schedule, her health deteriorated suddenly and she passed away.

“Please remember Coco, who loved her subscribers, Coco who wanted to show more to her subscribers, Coco who never stopped learning, and Coco who didn’t hesitate to experience new things,” the video also reads, as clips from Cocochoi’s YouTube videos during her lifetime play in the background.

In memorialization of Cocochoi, subtitles of “Coco, who may have complained on the outside but had a deep and warm heart, Coco who loved Paris, Coco who tried not to lose her bright appearance even during her illness” also appeared.

Finally, the video said, “Dear Coco, rest in peace without pain. We will always remember you.”

Netizens who saw this video expressed their grief, saying, “I doubted my eyes, but it’s an unbelievable piece of news,” “I hope she doesn’t suffer more there,” and “I’ll remember the always smiling and fiercely living Coco Unni.”

On the other hand, Cocochoi was a Korean YouTuber who unboxed and wore luxury brands and a travel YouTuber. She gained popularity with 80,000 subscribers.

In September, Cocochoi announced a pause in her YouTube activities through her channel’s community, saying “It seems like I need a short break. I will recover and come back as an upgraded Cocochoi. Until then, I hope you will wait for me, subscribers.”
