Times Square Ad for ZEROBASEONE’s Zhang Hao Put up by Fan Sparks Mixed Reactions


K-pop idols’ fans love to express their love and support for their bias through public advertisements, from subway stations, shopping malls, bus stops in Korea to even big locations like New York’s Time Squares.

One particular advertisement featuring ZEROBASEONE’s Zhang Hao in Times Square has recently garnered attention for its unique approach. In the huge billboard, the image showcased Zhang Hao lying topless in the pool.

This photo was shared by the idol himself through the paid messaging app Bubble, in which its content is prohibited from being leaked. 

Some fans argue that using this specific image of Zhang Hao for an ad might not have been suitable. Traditionally, ads put up by fans feature videos highlighting an idol’s talents or visuals, along with supportive messages.
