This Week’s Best to Worst Fashion: IU and Lim Ji Yeon shine, while Jeon Yeo Been and Kim Bora miss the mark

It has been a week with sad news in Korea’s entertainment industry, but also a week when top celebrities had many scheduled activities.

Among the female K-stars who had public schedules this week, IU, who returned as the lead actress of the movie “Dream,” was best-dressed.

Following IU, Lim Ji Yeon and Choi Ji Woo were chosen as good and so-so, respectively, while Jeon Yeo Been and Kim Bora were selected as stars with disappointing fashion.

BEST – IU

IU’s look at the press conference for the movie “Dream” is flawless, fitting her reputation as the epitome of innocent beauty. The sky blue color goes well with IU’s clear, fair skin, and the black hair and white shoes create a clean and perfect look without any clutter.

IU

The elegant button details on IU’s dress and the not-too-flashy belt come together to emphasize her elegance.

IU’s style is as light and colorful as a fairy tale princess. Even the big logo pattern, which can easily look rural or excessive, is cute when IU wears it. Sensible white heels complete the look perfectly.

GOOD – Lim Ji Yeon

Lim Ji Yeon’s all-black look is unified, but the red bag adds a strong point, and the crop top shows a hint of sexiness. It’s a charming look that even Moon Dong Eun could be stunned by.

Lim ji Yeon

Lim Ji Yeon wore all-black, but there’s no room for boredom thanks to the striking bag and her charisma. It’s not excessive or burdensome and brings out the luxuriousness well.

Lim Ji Yeon’s formal jacket and skirt combination, with a sexy cropped top, creates an elegant and lively look. It was a close call with IU.

SO-SO – Choi Ji Woo

Even when Choi Ji Woo’s tassel-adorned jacket is a striking point, the white inner and black suit pants feel too bland. The white T-shirt above the jacket neckline looks awkward. The floppy jacket is somewhat fussy.

Choi Ji Woo

The outfit is bland compared to Choi Ji Woo’s usual fashion style. The good point is she wore an outfit that anyone can follow. But this is also a disadvantage.

BAD – Jeon Yeo Been

It seems like Jeon Yeo Been needs to think about what kind of styling can highlight her charms. The combination of a double-buttoned outerwear that is too long and wide-legged pants makes her look stuffy.

The overly long pants that cover up to her ankles give the impression that she borrowed them from her father’s suit. The entire outfit contrasts with Lim Ji Yeon’s all-black fashion.

The thick tweed suit also covered her whole body on a warm spring day, causing discomfort to viewers to look at.

WORST – Kim Bora

With the addition of puff sleeves on a heart neckline, Kim Bora’s dress makes her shoulders look sturdy. The rough black boots ruin the innocent image of a white dress that could have been used to show off her pure charm.

If only Kim Bora had matched her shoes well, her overall look could have been considered so-so.

Although the shoulder line and length of her dress are disappointing, it’s not common for a plain white dress to be considered the worst. However, the black boots that don’t fit the occasion seem to have ruined everything.

The dress’s length doesn’t seem to fit Kim Bora’s height, and the fit of the sleeves also looks awkward. Wearing boots with this length of dress only makes her look more awkward.
