This Korean actress shot 50 minor roles for 7 years and became a hit at once

After playing 50 minor roles for 7 years, this Korean actress finally got to shine and gained massive popularity.

Born in 1992, Kim Hye Yoon, who has been loved for catchy diction, the charisma that comes out of her cute appearance, and her stable acting skills, ended her seven years of no popularity with “Sky Castle”.

Debuted through the TV drama “Samsaengi” in 2013, the actress later appeared as extras in many other works such as “I Can Hear Your Voice”, “The Legend of the Blue Sea”, “Goblin”, and many more. In 7 years, she played supporting roles in about 50 works, slowly building up her skills and resilience.

Kim Hye Yoon started to pursue her acting dream since the 3rd year of high school. According to the actress, she attended numerous auditions, but only seemed to score minor roles. At the time, her sole wish was to be able to appear in a TV drama from start to end.

To land her role in “Sky Castle”, Kim Hye Yoon surpassed 200 people, and finally achieved a “turning point” in her life. She later got casted for her first ever leading role in “Extraordinary You”, and managed to prove herself with a seasoned acting performance.

Recently, in the movie “The Girl on a Bulldozer”, the actress took on the role of a bold 20-year-old Hye Yeong, who has nothing to fear and a dragon tattoo on her arm. Here, Kim Hye Yoon, who exudes her reversal charm and makes people look forward to her next work, has completed another transformation.

She recently appeared in the movie “Similar”, which revolves around the romance of a man who lived in 1999 and a woman who lives in 2022, who accidentally started communicating through an old radio.

It is a remake of the 2000 film “Ditto”, and features Kim Ha Neul, Cho Yi Hyun, Kim Hye Yoon, and Na In Woo as leading cast members.
