At the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards, this actress won the judges’ votes by a landslide and secured a prestigious prize.

On July 19th, the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards, which honors Korean OTT projects, was held. Here, Song Hye Kyo was crowned with the grand prize Daesang, and her co-star in “The Glory”, Lim Ji Yeon, is no less impressive.

In particular, Lim Ji Yeon was named Best Supporting Actress at the awards ceremony for her role as Park Yeon Jin in “The Glory”.

Most impressively, however, it was revealed on July 21st that Lim Ji Yeon secured the judges’ votes by a landslide. To specify, for each award category, 7 votes – including 6 from the judging panel and 1 from netizens, were casted to find the final winner.

According to Sports Chosun, out of the 7 votes for Best Supporting Actress, Lim Ji Yeon won over all the judges and secured 6 votes. Meanwhile, the netizens’ vote were casted in favor of Lee Elijah for her performance in “Bait”.

In addition, the judging panel of the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards also described Lim Ji Yeon as “the main character who colored the first half of the year with ‘Yeon Jin-ah’ (a quote from ‘The Glory’)”.

“Her overwhelming acting skills are impressive”, they also said.

It is safe to say that Lim Ji Yeon is one of the most prominent female stars at the moment. Now, as her projects “The Glory” and “Lies Hidden in My Garden” have finished airing, the audience will soon see Lim Ji Yeon again in the thriller series “The Killing Vote”, which also features actors Park Hae Jin and Park Sung Woong.
