The police raised suspicions of a hostess’s involvement in Lee Sun-kyun’s drug scandal
According to Yonhap News on October 23rd, Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s Drug Crime Investigation Division criminally booked Lee Sun-kyun on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act, specifically marijuana administration suspicion.
In the meantime, the police arrested a 29-year-old hostess A at an adult entertainment establishment in Gangnam, Seoul on the same charges during the recent weekend. Another hostess in her 20s working at the same entertainment establishment was also booked without detention.
Hostess A is revealed to have talked to Lee Sun-kyun on the phone more than 10 times this year.
As such, Lee Sun-kyun is suspected of having taken drugs, such as cannabis, several times at the residence of hostess A in Seoul since the beginning of this year.
The police reportedly obtained information related to Lee Sun-kyun during their investigation after receiving information about drug distribution at an adult entertainment establishment in Gangnam last month.
They conducted an internal investigation as a step to determine whether Lee Sun-kyun should be subject to an official investigation. Recently, the actor’s status has been changed to a suspect in an official investigation.
As Lee Sun-kyun is now a suspect, the police plan to summon him for questioning soon.
