“There’s these certain idol members who’ve already debuted…They even have a ‘prostitution price tag'”

A video revealing the process of idol members falling into prostitution business establishments is being re-examined.

Recently, a post titled “The reason why idol members fall into adult entertainment establishments” was uploaded on various online communities.

The post contained a video titled “There’s a price tag depending on one’s grade in the bedroom?” that was uploaded on the YouTube channel “Everything About Job” in April 2020.

At the time, a former idol trainer said, “There are idol trainees who fail to debut and leave the agency. Prostitution business establishments’ managers know this information in advance and contact them. They don’t say ‘Do you want to sell your body?’ from the beginning. They tempt these trainees by saying they can receive up to 4 million won just by calculating the alcohol bills at the counter.”

When idol trainees work in prostitution businesses, they get used to seeing people coming in and out of that industry. When they listen to prostitution girls making tens of millions of won each, they naturally get affected,” adding, “If they go to a place like that after several years of being at the agency alone, they just think it’s natural.”

In the case of so-called B-class idols who debuted as idols but couldn’t make it, they have a price tag in China, not in Korea. In particular, there are many nouveau riches in Macau,” he said. “Their price tags vary from 5 million won to 10 million won and 15 million won. There are even brokers who can connect with their agencies,” he added.

The video has received 1.12 million views.
