“Namnam” is based on a popular webtoon serialized on Kakao from 2019 to 2022. It depicts a story of a mother who has no countermeasures and a cool and hot daughter living together as if they are not related. The webtoon gained popularity for being fun and honest about the unconventional mother-daughter relationship.

Previously, it was reported that Jeon Hye Jin and Choi Soo Young were discussing their appearances. Park Sung Hoon is expected to act alongside Choi Soo Young.

Park Sung Hoon made his debut in the 2008 movie “A Frozen Flower” and made his face known through the role of Jang Go Rae in the drama “My Only One”. Since then, he has been active in dramas such as “Justice”, “Psychopath Diary”, and the movie “Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum”.

In particular, he played Jeon Jae Joon in Netflix’s drama “The Glory”, which was released on December 30 last year, and captured viewers’ attention with his villain portrayal. He has been receiving offers from various highly anticipated works while recording a high level of buzz with his strong presence in “The Glory”.

“Namnam” is scheduled to begin filming as soon as casting for all the lead roles is completed. The production team is discussing various methods of broadcast, such as organizing a global OTT platform.
