In “The Glory”, Lee Moo Saeng appears in the second half as the psychopathic killer Kang Yeong Chun. Imprisoned in Cheongsong Correctional Institution for murdering Joo Yeo Jeong’s (Lee Do Hyun) father, he wears a red prisoner number of ‘3724’. In order to get his sentence reduced, he continuously sends letters disguised as reflection and apology to Joo Yeo Jeong, to remind him of his existence.

When Park Sang Im (Kim Jeong Young), the mother of Joo Yeo Jeong, came to the prison, Kang Yeong Chun pretended to repent of his crimes and apologized to her, but soon revealed his true face. Unlike the tears in his eyes, Lee Moo Saeng’s acting with a psychopathic laugh as if to mock Park Sang Im and showing no guilt, gives viewers goosebumps.

When asked why he sent letters to Joo Yeo Jung, Kang Yeong Chun said, “Because I’m bored,” incurring the anger of viewers. He shows a psychopathic, spine-chilling look that seems to calmly play with the other person’s feelings. It is also a scene that makes viewers somewhat realize how much of a hellish life Joo Yeo Jeong has been living.
