More global K-pop groups will appear at the 2022 The Fact Music Awards (TMA).

On August 26th, the organizing committee of the 2022 The Fact Music Awards (TMA) announced that Stray Kids, (G)I-DLE, Kep1er, and LE SSERAFIM have been listed in the official second lineup of the upcoming The Fact Music Awards.

With their mini album “ODDINARY” released in March of this year, Stray Kids topped the US Billboard’s main album chart Billboard 200 and created a buzz in the local music market after 4 years of debut.  The MVs for six representative songs of the JYP boy group are also included in the list of MVs with over 100 million views on YouTube, holding the record for the most number of 100-million-view MVs among 4th generation idols. Stray Kids is showing explosive growth as a “performance master” of K-pop. They recently completed their second world tour “Stray Kids 2nd World Tour MANIAC”.

(G)I-DLE made a comeback with their first full album “I Never Die” in March. They topped 24 iTunes Top Album charts and 11 K-Pop Top Album charts around the world. Starting with the Seoul concert in June, (G)I-DLE has completed their first world tour “2022(G)I-DLE WORLD TOUR [JUST ME I-DLE ]” in North America, solidifying their position as a global trending group.

Kep1er’s debut song “WA DA DA” released in January recorded 100 million streams on Spotify and Billboard Japan, proving their impressive global impact. Kep1er is asserting their power as a monster rookie by breaking their own record with his 2nd mini album “DOUBLAST”. Recently, the group attended “KCON 2022” in LA and had a successful entry into the US with 30,000 fans singing along to their performance. Kep1er is also set to make their official Japanese debut with the first single “FLY-UP” on September 7th.

LE SSERAFIM entered the US Billboard chart for 16 weeks in a row with their debut title track “FEARLESS” released in May, breaking the record for the longest-charting song among K-pop girl groups that debuted this year. Even now, three months after the end of their debut promotions, “FEARLESS” remains at the top of various digital charts. LE SSERAFIM solidified their position as a next-generation global K-pop star recently by being proudly listed on the “10 Rookie K-Pop Groups to Pay Attention to in the Future” as selected by Variety, a leading American entertainment media.

With their rising global popularity, these four groups, who are writing a new genealogy for K-pop, will join the 2022 The Fact Music Awards and are expected to receive a hot response from global fans.

The 2022 The Fact Music Awards will be held in person for the first time in three and a half years this October. Under the slogan of “SHINING FOR ARTIST, EXCITING FOR FANS”, the event is set bring K-pop artists shining glory and colorful joy to the fans.

Earlier, the 2022 The Fact Music Awards announced the first confirmed lineup of groups including THE BOYZ, ITZY, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, and IVE. The 2022 The Fact Music Awards will be held on October 8 at KSPO DOME (Olympic Gymnastics Stadium) in Seoul.
