The ‘Kim Yu-na Hanbok’, which the figure skater directly participate in the design, will appear in London

Kim Yu-na, a former figure skater, shows off her elegant appearance to the world in the hanbok design that she participated in herself.

According to Newsis reports, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that it will hold the “Hanbok Fashion Show, Hanbok Wave” at the Korean Cultural Center in London, England, at 7 p.m. on Sep 27th (local time).

At the event, Kim Yu-na is especially attracting more attention as she will show off her beautiful appearance in the hanboks that she participated in the design development.

The fashion show was carried out as part of the “Planning and Developing Collaborative Content Linked to Hallyu in the Hanbok Field” project to help the hanbok industry grow in overseas markets through collaboration with Hallyu cultural artists.

This year, Kim Yu-na participated in the hanbok design development and photoshoot, while 10 hanbok companies designed 60 hanboks that emphasize Kim Yu-na’s unique characteristics.

The fashion show video will also be posted on the website of the exhibition “Hallyu! The Korean Wave” at the Victoria and Albert Museum (UK), the world’s largest decorative arts museum.

In addition, Kim Yu-na’s 10 hanbok pictorial photos will be released through Marie Claire, a famous fashion magazine in Paris, France.

At the end of the year, a video of Kim Yu-na’s hanbok pictorial will be unveiled through the electronic display on Times Square Broadway in New York, USA.
