TEMPEST Fans Send Protest Truck Asking for Hwarang’s Return

Following the suspension of TEMPEST Hwarang’s activities, fans have demanded his comeback

On March 13, a protest truck prepared by TEMPEST fans was parked outside the group’s company Yuehua Korea’s building, bearing a message demanding justice for Hwarang and expressing hopes for his return to the group.

Previously, on March 6th, Hwarang announced a halt in activities due to a controversy over his private life.

Hwarang sparked discussions with remarks seemingly acknowledging his club visit during a video fan call. When a fan mentioned spotting him at a club, his response was, “Really? I did go to the club, but I didn’t engage in anything inappropriate. I never had such intentions. I have no desire to deceive (the fans).”

However, Hwarang’s explanation was still met with criticism, leading to an official apology. Yuehua then declared a suspension of Hwarang’s activities, citing a failure to regain trust. Hwarang also stepped down from his role as a fixed MC on ‘Show! Champion’.

Clubs in Korea often carry a mixed reputation, perceived as places for socializing and occasionally engaging in intimate encounters. Yet, not all club-goers seek such experiences. Many simply enjoy the music and the dance floor. In particular, those in the music industry often find inspiration and freedom in these environments.

Therefore, many fans believe Yuehua punishing Hwarang by suspending his activities is too harsh.
