In particular, T.O.P made a surprise appearance at the VIP premiere of the movie Emergency Declaration, which was held on July 25th at Megabox COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Here, the male idol could be seen with blond hair, wearing horn-rimmed glasses and a suit while leisurely waving his hand at the photo wall.

This is the first time T.O.P publicly appeared in front of reporters since his discharge from mandatory social service on July 7th, 2019.

Previously, the male idol made headlines for departing from YG Entertainment – his agency of 16 years. In 2017, he was embroiled in a drug scandal and sentenced to 10 months in prison and 2 years of probation for smoking marijuana twice, twice in liquid form, and four times at home in October 2016. The allegations were revealed late while T.O.P was serving as a police officer, and so his position was lifted, turning him into a service worker.

Even after discharge, T.O.P’s drug scandal prevailed, and when netizens told him to never come back, the idol replied: “Yes! God!”.

In addition, T.O.P also repeatedly announced his retirement from the entertainment industry, saying: “I’m always sorry to the fans, but I won’t make a comeback in Korea. I don’t want to make a comeback.”

However, with his latest appearance, netizens are suspecting that T.O.P is making secret moves to return to Korean showbiz, rousing curiosity.
