T.O.P says goodbye along with Big Bang’s comeback… “Thank you all for last 16 years”
Big Bang T.O.P (real name Choi Seung-hyun) said goodbye as well as shared his thoughts on the group’s comeback.
On April 5th, T.O.P posted on his personal SNS, “Finally the music is out. I wouldn’t be here without all of YG staff’s help.”
He wrote, “Thank you all for last 16 years. It means a lot to me. I’m thinking I might be going through another important turning point of my life at the moment.”
T.O.P continued, “I look forward to the day when I’ll be able to come back as a man of inspiration in the near future. I’m utmost grateful for my fans. Once again, thank you.”
Earlier, Big Bang made a comeback after 4 years with the new song “Still Life“. Ahead of its release, T.O.P terminated his exclusive contract with YG Entertainment. He hinted at his departure, saying, “it might be a long while until I come back as T.O.P of Big Bang.”
Among them, the part where T.O.P wrote the lyrics in “Still Life” also drew attention. Some interpreted that the lyrics such as “Good-bye”, “I’m leaving inspiration’s amazon” and “Burying all the trauma from past nights” suggest that T.O.P will stay away from the public’s eye for the time being.
In particular, the lyrics such as “I’m going to change more than before”, “Good person” and “better person” show T.O.P‘s wishes. People are paying attention to how T.O.P, who announced farewell, will return in front of fans.
