“Business Proposal” Ahn Hyo-seop and Kim Se-jeong had a happy ending with a marriage promise.
The final episode of SBS’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Business Proposal” (written by Han Seol-hee, Hong Bo-hee/ directed by Park Seon-ho), which aired at 10 p.m on April 5th, showed Kang Tae-moo (Ahn Hyo-seop) and Shin Ha-ri (Kim Se-jeong) overcoming oppositions from their families and confirming their love for each other.
Kang Tae-moo and Shin Ha-ri woke up in the morning together and were eventually caught dating by Shin Jung-hae (Kim Kwang-kyu) and Han Mi-mo (Jung Young-joo). In response, Kang Tae-moo officially asked Shin Jung-hae and Han Mi-mo to let them date, saying, “I would like to date Ha-ri with marriage in mind”.
Kang Tae-moo said, “I have met a lot of girls with good conditions, but when I’m with Ha-ri, I keep smiling. Ha-ri is the first person who makes me feel happy. I didn’t want to miss her”, and promised to get his family’s permission and be responsible.
However, Shin Jung-hae was worried that Shin Ha-ri would be compared to the chaebol family and hurt because her parents had nothing. In response, he shed tears and asked Kang Tae-moo, “Are you sure Ha-ri won’t get hurt and won’t have to suffer?”. Kang Tae-moo said, “I promise I will always be by her side and protect her with everything that I have”.
Meanwhile, Kang Da-goo (Lee Deok-hwa) was falsely admitted to the hospital to prevent Kang Tae-moo and Shin Ha-ri. Kang Tae-moo became angry when he found out about this. He said that he would not stay still. Shin Ha-ri stopped Kang Tae-moo and decided to spend time with Kang Da-goo to win his heart.
Kang Da-goo was falsely hospitalized, but the test result showed that there was a problem with the stent inserted into Kang Da-goo‘s heart blood vessels, which shocked him. In response, Kang Tae-moo promised, “Don’t worry, I’ll cure your disease.” However, Kang Da-goo acted insignificantly, saying he would take care of it on his own.
Kang Tae-moo decided to leave for America for Kang Da-goo‘s treatment and told Shin Ha-ri to go with him. However, Shin Ha-ri rejected Kang Tae-moo‘s proposal, saying, “I hope this will no longer hurt you.” Shin Ha-ri calmly persuaded Kang Tae-moo, who was anxious about Kang Da-goo‘s problem. Kang Tae-moo said, “I’ll be back soon, so please wait for me.”
A year later, Kang Tae-moo and Shin Ha-ri’s relationship seemed to stay the same. They were asking about each other’s well-being over a video call. However, Kang Tae-moo got into a dating scandal with cellist Baek Yoon-seo, and Shin Ha-ri did not contact him, so tension increased. Shin Ha-ri eventually decided to go to America to find Kang Tae-moo. But just when she was about to get on a taxi to head to the airport, Kang Tae-moo, who returned to Korea, showed up in front of her. Kang Tae-moo told Shin Ha-ri that he heard of the scandal when he was on a plane to Korea, explaining that it was fake news.
In the beautiful background of blooming cherry blossoms, Kang Tae-moo then told Shin Ha-ri about grandfather Kang‘s permission and took out the rings. Kang Tae-moo said he hated wasting time and proposed to Shin Ha-ri, saying, “Let’s get married”. Shin Ha-ri answered with a romantic kiss. The credits rolled as they share a happy ending.
