“Squid Game 2” Team To Have 2 Days & 1 Night Wrap Party In June To Celebrate End Of Filming

According to OSEN on May 31st, Netflix’s original series “Squid Game Season 2” will have a wrap party for two days and 1 night in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do, on the 11th and 12th of June.

“Squid Game” is a Netflix series about people risking their lives participating in extreme games in a mysterious survival challenge to win a prize money of 45.6 billion won. Released in 2021, Season 1 attracted more than 140 million viewers around the world within four weeks. It also dominated the No.1 spot on Netflix’s Worldwide TV Program for a long time.

In particular, Oh Young-soo won Best Supporting Actor in the TV category at the 79th Golden Globe Awards, while Lee Jung-jae and Jung Ho-yeon won Outstanding Performance in a Drama Series at the 28th SAG Awards. Lee Jung-jae also excellently achieved Best Actor at the 27th Critics’ Choice Awards.

Thanks to the huge success of Season 1, Netflix confirmed the production of Season 2 at the global fan event TUDUM held in Sao Paulo, Brazil in June last year. Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hyun, Wi Ha-joon, Gong Yoo, Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-geun will participate in the new season. Later, “Squid Game” announced the second lineup with Park Gyu-young, Jo Yu-ri, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Lee Jin-wook, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, and Won Ji-an.

As filming began in July last year, “Squid Game 2” has reportedly completed the filming. All the staff and actors will celebrate the filming completion and hope for the success of the drama with a wrap party. Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Gong Yoo, Wi Ha-joon, Im Si-wan and Kang Ha-neul are reportedly coordinating their schedules, while Lee Jin-wook and Oh Dal-soo have confirmed their participation in the wrap party.

Meanwhile, “Squid Game 2” plans to premiere in the second half of this year.
