Following “Agency”, which is scheduled to air in 2023, Park Bo Young will lead TVing’s original series “Hyde”.
According to a report by Sports Kyunghyang, Lee Bo Young recently confirmed TVing’s “Hyde” as her next film and is preparing for the filming. This will be Lee Bo Young’s comeback drama in nearly two years as the actress has not introduced any new work since the release of tvN’s drama “Mine” last year.
Produced by DK E&M, “Hyde” will be directed by Kim Dong Hwi, who made KBS’s “The Tale of Nokdu” and “Fight For My Way”.
Except for the fact that this work is adapted from a UK drama, the plot has not been disclosed. With a similar title, “Jekyll and Hyde” is recently famous in England. Set in London in the 1930s, this work tells the story of Dr. Jekyll’s grandson discovering the mystery of his identity and his family curse.
TVing’s “Hyde” is likely to be a Korean version that follows this plot. The production team recently confirmed Lee Bo Young for the main character role and is actively casting other leading actors.
Lee Bo Young made her name known to the public through SBS’s drama “Save the Last Dance for Me” in 2004. She starred in various dramas, such as “My Sweetheart, My Darling”, “Ballad of Seodong”, “Man from the Equator”, “My Daughter Seo-young”, “I Can Hear Your Voice”, etc., and became a representative actress who has both excellent acting skills and hit works.
Lee Bo Young recently showed various performances through “Mother” and “Mine”. She already finished filming JTBC’s drama “Agency”, which is scheduled for early next year, and has started preparing for “Hyde”.
The production team plans to begin filming the 12-episode series “Hyde” in March of next year and release it in the second half of the same year after completing the casting and pre-production stage.
