Song Kang’s agency warns against cases of impersonation for monetary demands

Actor management agency Namoo Actors, home to actors Park Eun-bin, Koo Kyo-hwan, Song Kang and Girls' Generation's Seohyun, issued a warning against impersonation scams

On July 18th, Namoo Actors announced through their official Instagram account, “We have received reports of individuals impersonating Namoo Actors or its employees, demanding money under the pretense of registering with specific agencies or training.

They added, “Casting for new actors at Namoo Actors is conducted through various methods both online and offline, in addition to our regular auditions.”

Namoo Actors emphasized, “Subsequent interviews with executives and the rookie development team are held at our headquarters, and there are mandatory procedures for signing contracts.”

They reiterated, “At no point in the contract process will we ask for contract fees or training-related expenses, so please be cautious to avoid falling victim to scams or impersonation.”

Currently, scams impersonating not only agencies but also famous celebrities and entertainers to extort money are rampant, requiring heightened vigilance.

Amid this, Namoo Actors is holding the “2024 National College Student Audition” and is accepting applicants.

The first round will be a blind audition, followed by a second in-person audition and a third in-depth interview for those who pass the initial screening.

Final selected audition winners will have the opportunity to sign an exclusive or trainee contract with Namoo Actors, receiving full support and training to grow as actors.
