Song Joong Ki and Hong Sa Bin’s new movie “Hwaran” wrapped up filming

Actor Song Joong Ki’s noir film “Hwaran” cranked up on Dec 12th after three months of filming.

“Hwaran” is a noir drama that tells the story of Yeon Gyu, a boy who wants to escape from the hellish reality, after he met a gang’s middle boss, Chi Gun, and joined the dangerous world.

Newcomer Hong Sa Bin, who won the grand prize at the 7th Mise-en-sen Short Film Festival and the 10th Chungmuro Short Film Festival, will work together with Song Joong Ki, who is enjoying his heyday through the recent JTBC Friday-Saturday-Sunday drama “Reborn Rich” after the success of “Vincenzo,” raising hopes for a fresh encounter.

Hong Sa Bin plays the 18-year-old Yeon Gyu, who jumped into the harsh adult world to escape from his miserable and bleak reality. Song Joong Ki, who plays Chi Gun, the middle boss of the organization who trusts and took in Yeon Gyu, heralds a new blow to the industry with a powerful character that he has never shown before. On top of that, Bibi’s appearance in “Hwaran” as Yeon Gyu’s little sister, which was chosen through highly competitive auditions, is highly expected by viewers.

Hong Sa Bin said, “I feel strange that it’s already the last time. There was not a day that the filming went in vain, and everyone worked hard for it, so I am more excited to see the completed movie than regretting the filming ending. I would like to express all my gratitude and respect to the actors and staff.”

Song Joong Ki said, “Since I started reading the script, I was curious and looked forward to how the story would develop. I thought it was a work worth doing, and I am grateful to be able to participate in such a movie. Now that the filming is over, I’m looking forward to seeing how the passion will be captured in the movie.”
