On January 13th, Son Ye-jin posted on her SNS account, saying “Everyone! It’s 2024! The bazaar event successfully ended a few days ago! Can anything feel more rewarding than when the small spark in our heart gradually grows and finally bears fruit after a sincere process?”.
The actress continued, “I’m so grateful that everyone donated their talents with joy, and above all, I was able to meet my fans! I was so happy and touched. I was glad that everyone looked healthy. 2024 has just started but I’m so happy! Everyone, I also hope the small sparks in your hearts will gradually burn and bear fruits”, adding “A total of 39,989,000 were collected! We donated all the money we collected on such a special day”.
Along with the post, Son Ye-jin released a donation certificate confirming that she already donated all the funds raised from the bazaar. The donation shows Son Ye-jin’s name with a total donation of 40 million won. This money will be used to aid disabled people and support self-reliance for people with developmental disabilities.
Becoming a mother in November last year, Son Ye-jin and her husband Hyun Bin were found to have donated 150 million won to Seoul Asan Medical Center and Jusarang Community’s Baby Box Fund.
Earlier, Son Ye-jin donated 100 million won to support Covid-19 pandemic prevention and treatment for low-income families through the Daegu Social Welfare Community Fund. She also sent a donation of 200 million won to forest fire victims with Hyun Bin. The actress has steadily practiced good deeds in various ways, including sponsoring children with incurable diseases and providing scholarships for low-income and disabled children.
