So Ji Sub to return in a new drama after getting married to 17-year younger girlfriend

Four years after taking a long break and a year after getting married, So Ji Sub is expected to make his drama comeback in 2022 with “Dr. Lawyer” produced by MBC.

According to Xportsnews, So Ji Sub and Shin Sung Rok have been confirmed to participate in upcoming drama “Dr. Lawyer”. 

Accordingly, So Ji Sub will play the role of Han Yi Han – a genius doctor who graduated with two majors in general surgery and thoracic surgery from Korea’s top medical school. However, he loses everything after an accident takes place where a patient dies in an operation. In order to find the truth and exonerate himself, Han Yi Han becomes a medical malpractice lawyer.

“Dr. Lawyer” is a drama marking So Ji Sub‘s comeback to the small screen after marrying former announcer Jo Eun Jung in 2020. The last drama starring the actor was “My Secret Terrius” (2018). Therefore, viewers are excitedly looking forward to the return of So Ji Sub after a 4-year hiatus.

Meanwhile, Shin Sung Rok will play Jayden Lee – the head of the Asian branch of the company Honors Hand. Jayden Lee is a powerful character who is willing to do everything he can to achieve success. Shin Sung Rok’s role is expected to play an important part in “Dr. Lawyer”.

“Dr. Lawyer” is written by screenwriter Jang Hong Chul and directed by director Lee Yong Suk – who was behind the success of “Haechi”, “The Village Achiara’s Secret”, and “Iljimae”. “Dr. Lawyer” is expected to have 16 episodes, airing in early 2022.
