SM To Take Legal Actions Against Antis Who Spread False Rumors And Sexually Harass Its Artists

SM announced on February 8th that it has been continuously responding to constant criminal acts that go beyond freedom of expression, such as spreading false rumors, malicious slander, sexual harassment, and invasion of privacy on the website of ‘KWANGYA 119,’ a reporting center to protect the rights and interests of its artists.

“The main issues include making false and groundless rumors that undermine the personal rights and reputation of the artist, impersonating or stalking the artists, producing or distributing obscene photos and videos using the artists’ portrait without permission, and insulting the artists for the purpose of slander,” it stressed.

SM added, “We will not sit idly by and respond strongly to these criminal acts without any leniency or agreement, so we ask for special attention not to be involved in anything unsavory.”
