Production teams are eventually taking steps to withdraw “drug suspect” Yoo Ah In from their projects

At the news of three types of drugs being detected in Yoo Ah In’s drug scandal, production teams have begun to take action.

Earlier, Yoo Ah In was accused of habitually administering Propofol at hospitals in Gangnam and Yonsan, Seoul. The actor tested positive for Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the main component of marijuana, in the simple drug test conducted by the National Forensic Service on February 10th. The remaining drug tests on Yoo Ah In were scheduled to be announced on February 20th, but according to the police briefing, the National Forensic Service has delayed their result announcement.

The final drug examination of Yoo Ah In is expected to be revealed in early March. In the meantime, netizens were once again shocked when MBC’s “New Desk” reported that three types of drug components, including Propofol and marijuana, were detected in the hair test conducted by the National Forensic Service on February 24th.

As a result, Netflix, which has signed a number of acting contracts with Yoo Ah In, is in a crisis. They originally planned to release “The Match” and “Goodbye Earth” starring Yoo Ah In this year. Apart from these two works, Netflix’s series “Hellbound”, which was introduced in November 2021, was also scheduled to start filming its sequel this June. In addition, the movie “Hi.5”, which was produced with NEW’s investment, is also on alert.

the match

Scheduled to premiere in May, “The Match” production team insisted on remaining “neutral” in Yoo Ah In’s drug case even when the actor was reported to have administered Propofol. However, they gave up after the May release after the news that Yoo Ah In tested positive for marijuana and another drug came out. In this regard, “The Match” side will officially announce their production postponement after the police statement is out.

The Last Fool

As “The Match” has canceled its release in May, “Hi.5” and “Goodbye Earth” also failed to premiere as planned. In the case of “Hi.5”, Yoo Ah In continued to carry out a scheduled shoot on February 8th even after the news of his Propofol charge investigation was reported.

“Hellbound” is also taking steps to withdraw Yoo Ah In from the sequel production.
