Kim Jong Hyun, a former member of boy group NU’EST, is stepping up his acting career with the drama “Sound Candy”.
According to a report by Spotify News on February 28th, Kim Jong Hyun will star in the web drama “Sound Candy” (tentative title), which is currently being filmed around Jeju Island.
Kim Jong Hyun debuted in 2012 as the leader of boy group NU’EST. He participated in the hit Mnet survival show “Produce 101 season 2” and gained attention as a trainee in 2017, before resuming his activities as a NU’EST member. In November 2021, Kim Jong Hyun started acting in earnest with the SBS drama “Let Me Be Your Knight”, and with the new project, he is raising expectations by expanding his activities as an actor.
After ending his contract with Pledis Entertainment in the first half of 2022, Kim Jong Hyun finished his activities as NU’EST, and released his first solo album in the second half, drawing attention.
At the end of last year, through a pictorial, Kim Jong Hyun expressed his aspirations as an actor, saying, “I keep auditioning and seeking for opportunities in various works.”
