KOZ Entertainment’s rookie group has a special meaning in that it is the first boy group produced by Zico. Zico, who debuted as a member of Block B, went through an idol life and worked as a soloist and producer. He has created numerous hit songs. In particular, through the smash hit “Any Song” in 2021, Zico established the dance challenge culture in the K-pop industry.

In an earlier interview, Zico expressed confidence in the rookie group, saying, “We will launch a group that presents music that both the fandom and the public will like.”  Curiosity is growing as to how Zico’s sense, which has both her trendiness and popularity, would have been demonstrated in his boy group production.

HYBE has already taken the upper hand in the 4th generation boy group market with the success of TXT and ENHYPEN. Last year, HYBE successfully established a multi-label system with 4th generation girl groups, including LE SSERAFIM and NewJeans. Among them, attention is focused on what kind of color the first idol to debut under KOZ Entertainment will show.

In particular, 2023 is expected to see a fiercer competition among 4th gen boy groups than ever before. KOZ Entertainment’s rookie boy group is attracting attention as it is the first boy group debuted this year by K-pop Big 4 agencies. A lot of attention will be focused on the activities of HYBE’s new boy group, who will open the door to this year’s boy group battle.
