Park Jin-young Reveals Story About ‘Genius’ Bang Si-hyuk, “He Was Busy But Still Graduated With High Score”
“You Quiz on The Block” released a short scene of Bang Si-hyuk and Park Jin-young’s episode ahead of the official broadcast
tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block” uploaded a pre-release video of the episode featuring the guest appearances of HYBE’s Chairman Bang Si-hyuk and JYP’s CEO Park Jin-young, which is scheduled to air later on November 1st.
In the video, Yoo Jae-suk asked, “Is it true that Bang Si-hyuk made ‘Homme’ at a dieting center and “My Ear’s Candy” at the sauna?”.
In response, Bang Si-hyuk said, “The fact is I made the first line of Baek Ji-young’s ‘Like being Shot by a Bullet’ in the sauna. People say new experiences can be the source of creation. I hadn’t been to the sauna before, so I went there for the first time with some close brothers, I was very excited”. He continued, “I wanted to try the sheep towel bun that I saw in a lot of pictures, so I made it, then the melody and the verse suddenly came to my mind”.
Listening to the story, Park Jin-young said, “If AI turns into a human, it would be him. He combines everything to make a song”, drawing laughter.
Park Jin-young then shared an anecdote about “genius” Bang Shi-hyuk that made him upset. He said, “I graduated from university after studying for 6 years. I actually received a lot of academic warnings. But he (Bang Si-hyuk) asked me to his graduation, and when I went there, he was receiving an award.”
Park Jin-young continued, “When I knew that he was No.2 in the Department of Liberal Arts and his average grade was 3.9, I suddenly hated to see him”, adding “We worked together and I didn’t even have time to study so I asked how did he have time to do so. But he said he didn’t study.”
Hearing that, Bang Si-hyuk complained with an awkward expression, saying “As you know, almost no one studied back then”.
Meanwhile, “You Quiz on the Block” stimulated fans’ curiosity by showing the scene when BTS members answered the question, “To me, CEO Bang Si-hyuk is?”, when appearing on the show in the past.
