Actress Park Eun-bin delivered a heartfelt acceptance speech after overcoming the Baeksang controversy
On the evening of September 21st, the Seoul International Drama Awards 2023 was held at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. It was also broadcast live on KBS 2TV and hosted by MCs Jeon Hyun-moo and Lee Se-young.
Winning Outstanding Asian Star Award, Park Eun-bin couldn’t attend the award ceremony so she delivered her acceptance speech through a video.
The actress said, “Thanks to your love Bingo (Park Eun-bin’s fandom name), I won Outstanding Asian Star. I truly thank you for always sending overflowing love. These days, I can feel love is visible when I see Bingo.”.
She continued, “I think that the heart and energy of being able to love someone is a great thing. I sincerely thank you for always showing overflowing greatness. I will do my best to make every hour we will spend together meaningful. I hope you like my next project as well”.
Earlier, Park Eun-bin won Daesang at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards for ENA’s drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” and made an impressive acceptance speech. The video of her speech attracted keen attention and exceeded 6.3 million views. However, poet and cultural critic Kim Gap-soo criticized Park Eun-bin’s speech and then apologized after it became a controversy.
Park Eun-bin later appeared on “Newsroom” and calmly responded to the criticism, saying “I have gained experience by expanding my knowledge, so I think I will continue to live according to my belief and mindset.” She also expressed her gratitude to viewers and received keen public support.
Meanwhile, Park Eun-bin is working on the filming for tvN’s new drama “Castaway Diva”, which is scheduled to air in the second half of this year.
