NMIXX’s first single ‘AD MARE’ surpassed 220,000 copies in the first week, setting new record for a girl group’s debut album

JYP Entertainment’s rookie girl group NMIXX has set a new initial record for all girl group debut albums.

NMIXX‘s debut single ‘AD MARE‘, which was officially released on February 22nd, achieved 227,399 copies in the Initial Chodong (album sales for a week as of the release date) based on the album aggregation site Hanteo Chart. This proved to be the qualifier of ‘2022 all-time rookie’ with a record that ranked first in the first week for girl group debut albums and third in terms of single albums.


The debut single ‘AD MARE’ was first introduced in July last year under the special name ‘Blind Package’. JYP made a pre-order for just 10 days from July 16 to 25, while only disclosing the information that it was a limited edition debut single of a new girl group to be released in February 2022, and achieved 61,667 pre-orders. . In particular, it climbed to the top of the daily charts of major domestic online music sales sites such as Hot Tracks on the 16th and 18th, Interpark on the 17th, and Yes24 on the 18th and 19th, realizing the high interest of K-pop fans as well as the public.


As the outlines of NMIXX gradually emerged, inquiries for additional release of the actual album poured in, and JYP responded to their enthusiastic support by confirming the release of the light version for the general class. The music video for the debut song ‘O.O’ surpassed 20 million views on YouTube within one day of release and 30 million views in 4 days, followed by 40 million views on the 6th. It is sprinting rapidly towards 50 million views. The debut single ‘AD MARE‘ topped the iTunes album charts overseas, including Mexico and Costa Rica, as of the afternoon of the 23rd. The title song “O.O” and the song “TANK” ranked first and third on the Hallyu chart released by China’s largest music site QQ Music on the 24th, starting the global popularity.

The performance of NMIXX’s debut song ‘O.O‘ is also getting a good response online. The ‘[BE ORIGINAL] NMIXX ‘O.O’ video posted on the ‘STUDIO CHOOM’ channel of Mnet Digital Studio M2 at 11 pm on the 25th exceeded 2 million views in just one day of release. The ‘O.O‘ choreography practice video released through the official SNS channel at 10 pm on the 27th also surpassed 1.2 million clicks in just one day of publication, with the favorable review that “every moment is a killing part”.
