New Agency Launches G-Dragon Advertisement On New York Times Square As Welcome Gift

Korea’s first AI metaverse company Galaxy Corporation put a surprise advertisement welcoming G-Dragon to their agency on the Times Square electronic display in New York to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

The advertisement, which started launching at midnight on February 10th, showed up on the billboard near the tkts ticket booth and Francis Duffy statue in the center of Times Square New York.

Designed with the concept “DOUBLE DRAGON” with the dragon in G-Dragon’s real name Kwon Ji-yong and CEO Choi Yong-in, the dragon of Galaxy Corporation, the advertisement delivers the New Year Greeting in 2024, the Year of the Blue Dragon.

Following G-Dragon’s attendance at CES in Las Vegas in January, the discussion on the first AI concert at Sphere, a landmark and mega-performance venue in Las Vegas, is considered G-Dragon and Galaxy Corporation’s desire to enter the US market in earnest.

Meanwhile, the advertisement is also an expression of gratitude for singer G-Dragon, whwo personally designed CEO Choi Yong-ho’s cover of the February issue of FORTUNE KOREA, the Korean version of the global economic magazine FORTUNE.

Galaxy Corporation’s CEO Choi Yong-ho shared, “Since G-Dragon became an exclusive artist of Galaxy Corporation last December, I have personally felt so sorry that there has been no opportunity for me to express my gratitude to him publicly”, adding “In 2024, the Year of the Blue Dragon, Kwon Ji-‘Yong’ and Choi ‘Yong’-ho will present activities in various fields as the two dragons are heading to the sky”.
