Netizens raise controversy over FIFTY FIFTY’s attitude towards their CEO amid contract dispute

The past remarks of FIFTY FIFTY members, who filed a lawsuit against their own agency, were recently brought up by Internet users.

Earlier in April, FIFTY FIFTY appeared on SBS PowerFM’s “Cultwo Show”.

That day, Kim Tae Kyun asked the members, “It’s been six months since your debut. How did you feel upon hearing the news of your song entering the Billboard chart?”.

In response, a member said, “To be honest, it was producer Sian (The Givers CEO Ahn Sung Il), who was on a business trip to the US, who told us the news when we entered Billboard ‘Hot 100’ for the first time”, adding “We found out about the news through him”.

When Kim Tae Kyun said, “How about this story? There were articles that Attrakt CEO Jeon Hong Joon sold his car”, the members looked somewhat surprised.

Another member said, “Ah, that’s how much he cared about us. We actually didn’t know it”. Seeing the bewildered reactions of the members, Kim Tae Kyun said, “CEO Jeon sold his car to buy the songs”, adding “You don’t know the exact details of the situation, right?”.

Hearing that, the members responded, “Yes”, Kim Tae Kyun jokingly said, “Oh then he might have changed his car now. It’s time to change it”. The members reacted, “Yes, that’s right! It’s time to change it”, drawing attention.

Noticing that FIFTY FIFTY members called The Givers producer Ahn Sung Il “CEO”, netizens pointed out the members’ remark in the radio video. They poured criticism towards the members, saying “Even if they didn’t know the story of the CEO selling cars and watches to produce them, they should have pretended to be touched”, “I don’t think they cared about CEO Jeon”, “They had already been brainwashed by someone who was not there”, “Since they said they didn’t know exactly the stories about the CEO, I don’t understand why they filed the lawsuit against the original CEO”, “Ah, that’s disgusting”, “They were already on the side of the producer and didn’t seem to care about the CEO”, “Wow, I can’t believe they reacted like that. Their personalities are so bad”, “Even if they didn’t know the story, they should have said things like ‘Thank you, CEO’ on the broadcast”, etc.

Meanwhile, a story titled “Lovely Day All Around Us” was posted on the official Instagram account of FIFTY FIFTY on July 3rd. The agency released a behind-the-scenes poster for FIFTY FIFTY’s album jacket on Naver Blog, recording 5,000 views and 20 followers within an hour.

In this regard, Internet users said, “The blog has only 16 followers? Guys, wake up, this is the reality”, “Oh My God”, “That’s the realityㅠㅠ”, “Get a hold of yourself”, “I think the agency is just doing their job”, “They posted it so random. I think they don’t care about the public opinion”, “The employees don’t have time to play”, etc.
