The subtle distancing between LOONA and member Chuu continues. Although it’s no departure from her group, fans are curious as Chuu’s ambiguous position of not participating in team activities still continues.
The awkward gap between Chuu and LOONA began last June, after Blockberry Creative, its agency, announced that Chuu will not attend LOONA’s first world tour.
The agency said the reason for Chuu’s absence was a pre-confirmed personal schedule. In fact, Chuu has been spending a busy second half of the year, continuing her activities in various areas.
However, Chuu was also seen going to her personal schedule alone without a manager, sparking rumors of a change in agency and controversy over neglect of her current agency. However, Blockberry Creative said, “The rumored matters related to Chuu, a member of LOONA, are groundless. We will actively respond to unilateral articles and comments that spread unconfirmed facts or damage the reputation of we company and our artists,” it said.
The controversy then subsided after the agency’s active response. However, rumors of bullying arose again surrounding LOONA’s concert, which will be held from Oct 15th to 16th, after Chuu said that she had not been notified while Yeojin claimed that she had been notified in the group’s chatroom. In addition, Chuu is receiving more attention after appearing on Channel A’s “Oh Eun-young’s Golden Counseling Center,” which aired on Oct 7th.
Since her debut, Chuu has appeared on several broadcasts to promote her name and her team. Many viewers were attracted to Chuu’s appearance, which naturally led them to becoming a fan of LOONA. In the meantime, 11 other members also did not rest. The remaining members targeted overseas markets through a world tour, which was a forced march where they had to perform one day after another day.
