Lisa’s ‘LALISA’ MV hit 400 million views, setting a new record as the fastest KPOP soloist to achieve this milestone

The music video of BLACKPINK Lisa’s solo album title song ‘LALISA’ surpassed 400 million views on Youtube.

According to reports from YG Entertainment on January 9th, Lisa’s ‘LALISA’ music video exceeded 400 million views on Youtube at 3:46 P.M. 121 days after its release on September 10 last year, MV ‘LALISA’ has set a new record, becoming the music video of a KPOP female solo artists to hit this number of views in the shortest time.

The previous shortest record was 395 days, which was set by Jennie’s ‘SOLO’ MV. Therefore, ‘LALISA’ has advanced ‘SOLO’ by 274 days. Considering the fact that there are only 2 KPOP female soloists who produced music videos with over 400 million views, we can easily recognize the powerful global influence of each BLACKPINK member.

LALISA’ is a hip-hop genre song that harmonizes the provocative brass riffs and dynamic rhythm that remind us of the siren sound. The music video of this song recorded 73.6 million views within 24 hours of its release, helping Lisa win the title ‘Best Solo Artist In The World’.

After surpassing 100 million in 2 days, ‘LALISA’ MV’s views figure continued to hit 200 million in about 13 days, then 300 million in 48 days. Therefore, Lisa became the KPOP female solo artist who achieved these records in the shortest time. 

Besides, ‘LALISA’ also gained remarkable achievements on digital charts. At the time of its release, the song topped on the iTunes Top Song Chart in 72 countries and also the global Youtube Top 100 for two consecutive weeks. ‘LALISA’ then ranked No.84 in the U.S Billboard Main Chart ‘HOT100’ and entered the U.K Official Single Top 100 at No.64.
