Starting out as a romantic comedy series filled with laughter and sweet romance, “Crash Course in Romance” is taking a gloomy and investigative turn as more elements of mystery emerged. A past unsolved case, a chronic obsession with past suicide of a female student as well the revelation of a serial killer combined to make “Crash Course in Romance” into suspenseful adventure.

2. Twenty Five, Twenty One

Twenty Five Twenty One

Twenty Five, Twenty One” is a story of growing up and overcoming obstacles of the young people whose lives were turned upside down by the IMF crisis in Korea. Baek Yi Jin (Nam Joo Hyuk) and Na Hee Do (Kim Tae Hee) moved the audience with their development and unyielding company to each other through many rough patches. Unfortunately, in the end, they decided to part ways when they felt love the strongest. The series started out as a healing journey but closed with a heart-breaking ending that could not be easily forgotten.

3. The Interest Of Love

The Interest of Love

The Interest Of Love” approaches the subjects of love and relationship through a more realistic lens. The series follows 4 young adults who meet one another at the Yeongpo branch of KCU Bank and their individual journeys to understand love. Working in the same environment, yet the sense of gaps in status, family, education and lifestyle are prevalent among the workers. Aware of the stark differences among one or another, the characters are consumed by their own reluctance and ambiguous feelings to the point their own feelings suffer. In the end, no relationships are able to find their closure.

4. 20th Century Girl

20th Century Girl

20th Century Girl” tells the story of Na Bo Ra (Kim Yoo Jung)  who sets out to find all she can about a boy called Baek Hyun Jin (Park Jung Woo), Yeon Du’s (Roh Yoon Seo) crush, so that she can leave for the US for her heart surgery. However, as Bo Ra mixes Hyun Jin and his best friend, Won Ho (Byeon Woo Seok), together, she develops feelings for Won Ho in the process of getting more information about Hyun Jin. While the movie sets up the story to be about the freshness of first love, viewers are taken aback when they learn that Won Ho later passed away. More shockingly, it takes Bo Ra two decades to know her first love has passed away.
