According to Money Today on Dec 27th, Lee Sun-kyun was discovered collapsed near Waryong Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul. The police suspect that he made an extreme choice and are currently investigating the details.
Earlier in October, the police booked Lee Sun-kyun on charges of administering marijuana and psychiatric drugs at the residence of A, a female director of an entertainment establishment, after securing evidence of drug use from A’s statement during a drug investigation in September. Lee Sun-kyun then sued A for blackmailing. It is known that the actor handed over 300 million won to A.
In the detailed drug examination by the National Forensic Service, Lee Sun-kyun tested negative for drugs. In the second police summons, the actor insisted that A gave drugs to him saying it was a prescription for insomnia. After the third summons on December 23rd, Lee Sun-kyun raised doubts about A’s statement and requested a lie detector test on the 26th.
