Lee Jun Ho apologized to staff of “King the Land” for a heart-warming reason

“King the Land” star Lee Jun Ho revealed the behinds of “King the Land” shootings, from script study to unreal feelings.

On August 11th, a video titled “Gu Won Checking Out of the King the Land Vlog” was uploaded to the YouTube channel of Lee Jun Ho.

Here, Lee Jun Ho unveiled his preparations for the filming of episode 15 and 16 of the JTBC drama “King the Land”. In particular, the singer-actor shared traces of his passionate script study, where he marked lines with highlighters, providing a glimpse of how focused he was on acting.

While shooting on the set, Lee Jun Ho confessed his feelings about playing the male lead Gu Won of “King the Land”.

I’ve been preparing and shooting as Gu Won for over a year”, he said, adding, “I’ve been playing this character for so long that it’s really hard to let go of him.”

Afterwards, at the last shoot on the filming set, Lee Jun Ho expressed his heartfelt gratitude, saying, “It’s over. Thank you very much for loving Gu Won, Sa Rang, and ‘King the Land’. It’s been over half a year since I’ve been on this set, so it feels very strange right now”. 

For “King the Land”, Lee Jun Ho also filmed a wedding scene with his co-star, Yoona, and the behind of this scene shows the actor suddenly whispering in an “ASMR tone”. 

“It’s finally over. I can’t tell if I’m dreaming or not. Now, we’ll go shoot in Pohang. And after a few days in Pohang, we’ll return to Seoul. Then in Seoul, we have one day of shoot left. Then it’s really over!”, Lee Jun Ho mentioned, before showcasing a “crab-eating” ASMR performance and evoking laughter. 

Later on, Lee Jun Ho appeared for his last day of filming, where staff members threw him a party and showered him with congratulations. Seeing this, the actor showed his shock, saying, “I never thought they’d throw me a party”.

Then, he realized that despite it being a holiday, the staff came to celebrate. 

“It’s Memorial Day! I feel so bad now. It’s a holiday”, he said, before expressing his gratitude and adding, “Thank you, everyone. Sorry to make you work on Memorial Day.”

Finally, Lee Jun Ho reflected on the filming of “King the Land” and shared his thoughts. “This is the first time that the fact the shoot is over hasn’t hit me. I’ll be watching the TV series with love as a viewer. Thank you for all your support. I also want to thank my fans. You’ve been so supportive and encouraging throughout the shoot. Now, I’ll go back to my life”, he confessed.

On the other hand, “King the Land” concluded on August 6th with its 16th episode, recording a peak viewership rating of 13.8%.
