Lee Joon Hyuk “I felt frustrated while attending acting academy because of Won Bin and Kang Dong Won”

Actor Lee Joon Hyuk confessed his frustration at acting academy because of Won Bin and Kang Dong Won.

Actor Lee Joon Hyuk appeared as a guest on tvN’s entertainment program “You Quiz on the Block”, which aired on June 21st.

Regarding the reason he started acting, Lee Joon Hyuk said, “I loved movies so much when I was a child. When I was attending an acting academy, I was introduced to the company.”

When Yoo Jae Suk asked “I heard you were frustrated while learning acting“, Lee Joon Hyuk replied, “I was scolded a lot for 2 years by my acting teacher. I went home crying every day.”

He explained, “I got worked up, ‘I have to receive praise next week.’ At that time, actors often did well at acting academies. Private classes were taken by famous people, and I took group classes. There were people who took private classes early because they were overflowing with passion. When I looked back, I had a hard time under the pressure of ‘I have to do really well here’ since there were seniors Won Bin and Kang Dong Won.”

Meanwhile, Lee Joon Hyuk received favorable reviews for playing the main villain Joo Seong Cheol in the movie “The Roundup: No Way Out”, which was released on May 31st. The movie “The Roundup: No Way Out” surpassed 9 million viewers on June 21st.

Lee Joon Hyuk plans to make a comeback with Disney+’s drama “Vigilante”. “Vigilante” revolves around Kim Ji Yong, a student at the police academy who lost his mother at the hand of a local gangster when he was young. He becomes a vigilante and kills criminals.

Actor Nam Joo Hyuk plays the main character Kim Ji Yong (Vigilante). Actor Lee Joon Hyuk transforms into Cho Kang Ok, the planner who helps Vigilante. Actor Yoo Ji Tae takes on the role of Cho Heon, head of the regional investigation unit to catch Vigilante. Actress Kim So Jin plays Choi Mi Ryeo, the broadcast reporter who gathers news materials about Vigilante.
