An event suddenly became the center of attention in China due to the presence of two women in Kris Wu’s life.
On the evening of August 15th, Chinese media outlet Sina reported that actress Luna Qin (real name: Zhengwei Qinniu) and influencer Du Meizhu both attended an early screening of the 2023 film “The Woman in the Storm”.
The appearance of the two women immediately stirred up the online community in China, who pointed out that both Luna Qin and Du Meizhu were connected to the infamous Kris Wu. In particular, Luna Qin is an ex-girlfriend of the former EXO member, whilst Du Meizhu accused the idol-actor of sexual assault.
During this recent event, Kris Wu’s victim and ex-lover dressed rather similarly, and the event organizers even arranged for them to sit together. Notably, after Du Meizhu shared her thoughts about “The Woman in the Storm”, Luna Qin was invited to speak.
The situation itself seems awkward, and Kris Wu’s former lover, Luna Qin, decided to speak up.
“I feel a bit uncomfortable with the arrangement made by the organizers. Why am I invited here with the other girl? Is it because both of our names have been associated with the same man?”, she said, expressing her discomfort and frustration.
Additionally, Luna Qin got married to actor Kong Yuhao in July this year. Therefore, she could not tolerate the organizers staged media play, which utilizes the heat of her past relationship with Kris Wu.
The strong reaction of Luna Qin at the event was later met with public support, as netizens criticized the production team of “The Woman in the Storm” for deliberately using Luna Qin and Du Meizhu for the film’s “media play”
