Korean media outlets reported that Momo (TWICE) and Heechul have officially broken up

Golden couple Heechul – Momo (TWICE) broke up after 1 year and 6 months of publicly dating.

On the morning of July 8, Star Today revealed that Kim Heechul (Super Junior) and Momo (TWICE) officially broke up after 1 year and 6 months of dating.

Earlier, on January 1, 2020, Market News suddenly revealed that Heechul and Momo were dating.  In the early morning of January 2, 2020, the management companies of both also confirmed the above information.

Before that, the couple had got into dating rumors since August 2019. Accordingly, Market News also shared the news that Momo and Heechul have been dating for 2 years.  The news site revealed that the Twice members are very close, so they all know about this.  However, both sides’ companies at that time denied everything: “Kim Heechul and Momo only had a close and close senior-junior relationship.  They’re not dating.” After 5 months, they decided to publish the relationship.

During their time together, Heechul and Momo had built a good love despite their busy work schedules.  Market News also affirmed that the couple was a source of encouragement for each other amidst many difficulties and events in the entertainment industry.  While Momo rarely mentioned Heechul in public, the Super Junior member was more comfortable when it came to his girlfriend.

However, it is known that recently their relationship has stalled because both have very busy schedules.  It has been further reported, “Both of them are very busy with their activities, so their relationship started to grow apart. I was told that both of them ended their love relationship and return to the senior-junior relationship.”

This is sad news for the couple’s fans as recently, there were even rumors that the two would get married after the contract between Momo and JYP expired. The couple has been through many ups and downs and gradually gained support from fans and the public. However, in the end, their love story ended up without a happy ending or a wedding as fans expected.

On the morning of the same day (July 8), JYP and SM also gave an official response to this information. Especially, Label SJ and JYP Entertainment both stated to Sports Donga, “We’ve checked with the artist, and it is true that they broke up.” Label SJ also added, “Please understand that we cannot answer the details of it as it is the artist’s private life.”
