Kim Hye Soo struggled with “Familyhood” so much that she wanted to die 3 weeks before filming

Actress Kim Hye Soo shared how burdened she was during the preparation for “Familyhood.”

Kim Hye Soo said during an interview for “Familyhood” that the movie was too hard and difficult for her. The reason is because it was her first proper comedy work.

Kim Hye Soo said, “It got harder as the filming approached. I even want to die 3 weeks before filming. I decided to do the movie because I wanted to, but amid my crisis, I was like, ‘I’m crazy. Why did I agree to do this? Why did I say I would do this?’.”

Explaining her struggle, Kim Hye Soo said, “My worst genre is comedy, but I agreed to take the role without considering the consequences. Even though I prepared a lot, I was still scared.” She added, “At that time, filming was too hard and a struggle for me.” It is said that this was an uncontrollable fear that only actors could feel.

“Familyhood” is a 2016 South Korean comedy-drama film directed by Kim Tae Gon, starring Kim Hye Soo and Ma Dong Seok.
