The post is as follows,

“RIIZE’s debut album has sold over a million copies in the first week of its release. It sold 200,000 copies on the last day, achieving a rare “million seller” title with its debut album.

At that time, there was a lot of talk about whether it was possible to get 1 million copies sold in the first week with just 2 version without a fandom (For reference, Lim Young-woong sold a million copies with three versions). But since it’s been a few years since SM debuted a boygroup, everyone fell for it…

As a result, the group has received many benefits with it debut album being a “Million Seller,” building a top image among the 5th generation groups, and already receiving awards at various award ceremonies such as the MAMA.

But…They have had 75 fan signing events for 4 months. And the 2023 Circle Chart sales that just came out today. Their total sales was 1.03 million units (Only 20,000 more than the first week’s sales…)

In the end, for the title of ‘Million Seller’, they held more than 70 fan signings in four months to collect the amount, but it increased by only 20,000 compared to the first week.

In particular, there is no choice but to say whether surecord is fair in contrast to the normal record of rookie male idols of the same generation, ZEROBASEON, BOYNEXTDOOR, and PLAVE.

Three months after their debut, they turned viral, and got a push on all kinds of Ambassador deals and shows such as Yoo Quiz On The Block and The Seasons.”

Upon seeing this post, many Internet users have come to the comment section to leave their opinions, which mostly are skeptical of RIIZE’s achievements. The top comments include,

“It’s like having an article that says you got a perfect score on the CSAT and you taking an exam until you get that perfect score. In the end, it’s up to the fans to fill that up, but the fans also have to shield them… I feel sorry for the fans, too.”

“No, it doesn’t make sense that their first week Hanteo sales came out at 1.01 million, but the total number on Circle is 1.03 million…; Circle sales are the amount released by retailers (shipment volume-return volume included), so it should be much higher than Hanteo sales, which estimates consumer sales. Most of the top singers’ albuns have much higher than Hanteo sales. It’s strange.”

“Was it the top of the 5th generation? I feel like it’s ZEROBASEONE.”

After a day, the post has gathered approximately 45,000 views. What is your opinion?
