Should NewJeans lose some weight?

Recently, a netizen in Nate Pann drew attention by making a post titled, “NewJeans, please lose some weight”.

This person said, “I don’t know how much weight they gained but it’s so noticeable. I think they’ve gained about 5kg. They didn’t look like that during their debut days”, adding “I’m not urging them to lose weight. I just want the members to maintain their appearances like when they just debuted. I know the company is taking care of them in many ways, including their sleep, food, etc., but that’s why they don’t even say bitter things when the members gain weight”.

The netizen continued, “Complimenting idols for looking healthy is not always a good thing. Being healthy is good, but they’re idols, right? Even if they look skinny in real life, people mostly see them in photos and videos. So shouldn’t they take care of their body to look good in photos, too? Except for Danielle, all the members gained so much weight”

They added, “Even when the members gain weight, they’re still pretty so fans are quiet because they think it’s still cute and pretty… They are indeed pretty, but they should take care of their image like other idols. I hope they look different in the upcoming comeback. Even so, I still love NewJeans”.
