Actor Jung Woo Sung visited the scene of the Itaewon disaster in person and expressed his condolences.

In the early morning of Nov 11th, a netizen wrote an article titled “Jung Woo Sung visited the memorial site” on an online community. The article includes a photo that shows Jung Woo Sung in a black suit and tie visiting the scene of the Itaewon disaster.

Jung Woo Sung gave his silent prayer on the street where flowers are placed in honor of the victims. Videos of him giving the bereaved families his consolation and comforting them are also spreading.

Earlier, Jung Woo Sung posted a poem titled “Sorry, Don’t Forgive Me” by poet Kim Eui Gon on his Instagram to mourn the victims of the disaster.

On Oct 29th, about 100,000 people gathered to enjoy the Halloween weekend in Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and a massive crush disaster occurred as people fell down amid the dense crowd. Since then, a national mourning period has been declared until Nov 5th, during which singers suspended their concerts and performances, while broadcast stations canceled many major programs to mourn the victims of the disaster.
