IU has unveiled the intro track for her upcoming album. At midnight KST on January 18th, IU’s agency, EDAM Entertainment, released the track intro for “Love wins” through official social media channels.

In the revealed track intro, IU expresses that some label the present as an era of intense hatred. She reflects on the world turning ashen with noticeable enmity and indifference.

Despite the seemingly absurd notion of seeking victory with invisible love in a chilling world, IU believes love has ample chances of triumph, even in the face of hindrances.

IU shares that “Love wins” tells the story of those who strive to love to the end in a world that hinders love. She dedicates two songs in the album to her loved ones, especially her fans, and one of them is “Love wins.”

Reflecting on her personal growth, IU reveals that what once seemed lonely and frightening gradually changed over the years. She expresses gratitude to her fans, emphasizing that she has never been alone thanks to them.

IU’s album, containing five songs, includes a heartfelt message to her fans, particularly those who have been with her from the age of 18 when her life changed dramatically. 

She conveys that she no longer finds certain aspects frightening and shares her aspiration to be someone who says, “It’s not scary. Let’s gracefully fade away together.”

The album’s other songs, introduced as part of the release, continue IU’s successful ballad series, featuring minimalistic and vintage piano intros leading to powerful outros. 

The latter part of the album intensifies emotions with vocal battles and vibrant symphonies.

IU describes “Love wins” with soaring rhythms, harmonious themes, and a gentle string arrangement that envelops the entire sound.
