BTS’s Jungkook showed his cool way of dealing with controversies

Jungkook held a listening party through Stationhead on Oct 2nd. What attracted particular attention was Jungkook’s answer to the controversy over the lyrics of his solo songs “Seven” and “3D”.

“Seven” and “3D” achieved remarkable results on leading overseas charts such as Billboard and Spotify, but in Korea, their outspoken lyrics like “You Know night after night I’ll be lovin’ you right” (Seven), “I got you playin’ with yourself on camera” (3D), “Speaking of bucks I got those and as for fucks well not those And as for thots well do you really wanna know?” (3D) received criticism as “somewhat sensational”.

Regarding this, Jungkook said, “I chose ‘Seven’ because I wanted to show a more mature side. I’m not pure. I know everything. I’m 26 years old.”

This is not the only time Jungkook has dealt straightforwardly with controversies surrounding him. Recently, in response to dating rumors that arose on online communities, he attracted attention by directly explaining, “I don’t have a girlfriend. I don’t feel the need. Right now, I just want to work. My girlfriend is ARMY (BTS’s fanclub).”

Meanwhile, Jungkook will release his first solo album “Golden” on Nov 3rd. This album contains a total of 11 songs, including “Seven” and “3D”.
