“He strangled his girlfriend until she fainted”… An active male idol accused of dating violence

A revelation that a man, who is active as an idol group member, assaulted his girlfriend was recently reported. 

Early in the morning of February 25th, an article titled “Idol dating assault” was posted on a portal site. A, who wrote the article, claimed, “My friend was assaulted by her boyfriend who is currently working as an idol”.

A explained, “My friend prepare a statement on February 19th, and will be questioned as a victim on February 26th. As a close acquaintance, I’ve seen them dating many times. I also saw photos and videos they posted on a sub-SNS account. Although he’s not a famous idol, he is loved by a small number of fans. I think he’s so shameless so I made this revelation.”

A continued, “My friend and idol group member Y had been dating for 3 months and when my friend said she wanted to break up with Y, he assaulted her. Y grabbed my friend by the collar, dragged her into an alley, tried to steal her cell phone, and strangled her to faint. My friend might have left this world if people around hadn’t saved her.”

A added, “She has a medical certificate for injuries, and I think assaulting someone just because of a breakup is completely wrong. I don’t think it makes sense to let such a person continue his entertainment activities without a problem. I will make another post after the victim investigation on the 26th.”

A also disclosed photos taken by their friend and idol Y when the two were still dating, a text message showing A’s friend reporting the case as dating violence, a victim’s rights notice A’s friend received, and a text conversation between the ‘victim’ friend and idol Y.

Wikitree contacted the police station where the case was filed to check the authenticity of the fact and the police briefly responded, “We cannot give you any detailed information for personal protection”.
