Career
Pre-Debut
Before debuting, Minnie joined Cube Star World Audition in Thailand in 2014 and moved to South Korea in 2015 to train under Cube Entertainment. She was publicly introduced in 2016 through Cube’s Instagram and later performed with Jeon Soyeon at the Unpretty Rapstar 3 concert. In 2017, she appeared in a Rising Star Cosmetics campaign with future (G)I-DLE members and contributed vocals to Line Friends’ “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” and the Dance Party! – Children’s English Songs album, gaining early exposure before her official debut.
Debut with (G)I-DLE & Group/Solo Activities
Minnie debuted as the main vocalist of (G)I-DLE on May 2, 2018, with the mini-album “I Am” and the title track “Latata.” The group quickly gained recognition, winning their first music show award within 20 days of debut. Minnie was praised for her distinctive, soothing vocal tone.
