Fan Sent Funeral Wreath To Mock SM Entertainment After Taemin Left The Agency
A fan of SHINee’s Taemin caused controversy over their action of sending a funeral wreath to the building of SM Entertainment
A funeral wreath from a fan of SHINee’s Taemin was recently found in front of the office building of SM Entertainment, drawing attention. On the wreath, there’s a message saying, “With deepest sympathy for losing Taemin”.
Earlier on March 5th, Taemin caused a stir as he announced his departure from SM Entertainment after 16 years since his debut. During the time Taemin was active under SM, fans criticized the company many times because of its lack of support for the male idol, especially his individual activities. Therefore, the fan sent the wreath to SM to mock the company for losing a talented artist.
However, this action caused controversy among netizens and SHINee fandom as some pointed out that it was disrespectful to use a funeral wreath for mocking, considering the group has one member who already passed away.
