Even without the late Goo Ha-ra…KARA Kang Ji-young, Park Gyu-ri, Han Seung-yeon, Nicole are all here

In commemoration of KARA Kang Ji-young’s birthday, Han Seung-yeon, Nicole, and Park Gyu-ri all gathered.

Kang Ji-young posted a photo of all four of them together on her Instagram story on Jan 30th, along with a caption written in initials “ㅅㄹㅎ.” This is definitely the abbreviation for “I love you” no matter who looks at it. The ex-idol is full of affection for KARA members who celebrated her birthday which was on January 18th.

In response, Park Gyu-ri reposted the photo on her SNS, adding a caption saying, “Happy birthday to Kkangji.” Nicole also showed off her unwavering friendship by reposting the photo. Even though the late Goo Ha-ra cannot be there with them, the four members still continue their strong friendship as KARA.

KARA made its debut in 2007, but only started to receive explosive love after the withdrawal of member Kim Sung-hee and the recruitment of Goo Ha-ra and Kang Ji-young. Along with Girls’ Generation and Wonder Girls, they led the heyday of 2nd generation girl groups and gained hot popularity not only in Korea but also in Japan.

After that, Kang Ji-young and Nicole withdrew and Heo Young-ji joined to make a group of four, but they eventually disbanded in 2016. Since then, Goo Ha-ra has been unable to overcome depression due to conflicts with her ex-boyfriend, and was discovered dead on November 24, 2019 at her home in Gangnam, Seoul.
