Chungha Mentions Collaboration With Anne-Marie, “I Refused Song Written By Her At First”
Singer Chungha talked about working with pop star Anne-Marie for her comeback song and her music style
Chungha, who recently released a new song, made her guest appearance on the March 12th broadcast of KBS CoolFM’s radio program “Lee Eun-ji’s Music Plaza”.
Revealing that pop singer Anne-Marie participated in writing her new song, Chungha shared, “I refused the song at first because I felt burdened and I had no confidence in singing her song”
Chungha also confessed that she doesn’t ask fellow singers to do dance challenges with her. She said, “In some way, doing challenges can be a burden or stress, right?”, adding “I’m okay with people asking me to do challenges with them. I’m fine with that but I don’t ask others to do it with me”.
DJ Lee Eun-ji also introduced herself as a fan of Chungha, saying “I often watch Chungha’s MV behind videos and I also got to know the backup artists who perform with her”. Chungha humbly replied, “I didn’t do anything. They are very talented and we just accidentally became friends”.
Showing her respect for Chungha, who has been trying various concepts, Lee Eun-ji said, “Even though you’re doing the music that you know well and releasing easy-listening songs, you keep challenging various music styles and promotions. That’s so cool”. Chungha commented, “Some people are worried about changing images, but I prefer staying like this”.
Lee Eun-ji praised Chungha, saying ”I think you’ll become like Uhm Jung-hwa in the future. I believe that you can be a top female dance solo singer”.
